In any case, which of the three boards show in the picture would control the backlight? Since there does not seem to be a separate inverter board, it could just be a bad resistor if you are lucky! Jan 20, 2016 Back - light problem. I have replaced both inverters and checked the pico fuse, I do not find any noticeable issues with any boards. It's not the same board showned in the picture above. Customer Service so far has been no help. I actually filed a claim with my credit card company and am going to give it a week before canceling my claim. Samsung claims to offer support for YouTube. Don't worry, this is easier to fix than ir sounds. I don't know why 24 hours would help or what changed but thus far it is working. I cannot see any of the menus or anything when I change the source either. Never had any problems, all of a sudden the screen goes black and only sound is there! The update installation took another 30 seconds. But the cabinet is beautiful and shiney. I'm sorry to tell you this but. Let sit for the cleaner to dry, then plug the set back in and see if it fixes it. Am I looking at a costly repair? Good news is that we recently released an update and the issue is now fixed.
As it is no longer supported, there isn't much we can do about it. Nope, unless one of the boards I bought on Ebay are the problem which is highly likely. The unit is out of warranty by 4 months. Samsung 800 gave me a local number but no return call, and the person who answered wasn't sure what to tell me except that someone would call me no word yet. I am not liking the sound of this at all. I'm in the process of returning the three boards I bought on eBay. Same happens if you try to fast forward a video, the app hangs and after that you have to restart the app to be able to play any video.

If you are still experiencing this issue after the update, please disable the option for sound effects in the app settings. I have a samsung and it works fine. I don't think this is a dishonest company, it's more likely that it's run by just one or two people, judging by the fact that all emails take at least 48 hours to get a reply and they are always sent late in the evening.
