It should be marked with that model number and caliber is the old. A missing serial number tag on a used motor could be a red flag for a stolen motor or it could be just something that happened. Hi Bill, Jumping in from this old posting. All I have is my serial number off the freeze plug on the engine to identify the year and model. I did also get the old block assbly. You'll need to remove the cylinder to see it.
